The Flor de Sal apartment makes up part of Art House, and is located on the second floor and attic of this recently restored typical villa in the centre of Cacais. It is ideally suited to 2 people, but can accommodate an additional two children if necessary. It is a sunny, light & spacious.

Notes on accommodation
  • We can provide a starter hamper for a small supplement – email us for a quote.
  • We arrange golf packages and offer special rates on green fees to our self catering guests. It may be possible to play with local ex-pats on one of the many excellent golf courses surrounding Lisbon and Cascais. Just email us asking for our offers.
  • In addition, whilst the golfers are playing a round of golf, we could arrange to take non-golfers on a day excursion . See our tours section (walking tour of Lisbon, Obidos, Sintra or many more options)
  • Our accommodation prices include bed linen, bathroom towels & the final clean. We can provide additional cleaning on a daily basis at a charge of €.7.00 per hour (two hour minimum)
  • Save space in your suitcases for all the shopping you want to take home. Beach towels and beach umbrellas are available to rent at €7.50 per item per week.

Notes on prices
  • Prices are for the property per week
  • 4 Night minimum stay depending on season.
  • 30% Deposit payment to secure booking.
  • Prices may be subject to change at the owner's discretion.
  • Cleaning costs, linen & bathroom towels included in rental price.
  • Rental of travel cot and or baby high chair per week: €15 each.
  • Supplement for cot linen: baby pillow with pillow case, mattress protector, top and bottom sheets, blanket or duvet with cover.
  • We can accept payments by cheque in Euros or bank transfer in GBP or Euros. We can also accept deposit payments via PayPal (credit cards accepted through PayPal) in US Dollars.

  • Sintra, a world heritage site is just 20 minutes from Cascais.
  • Évora, a world heritage site is around 2 hours and Obidos is about 1 hour.

  • Algarve coast is around 2.5 hours
  • Seville is around 4 hours

Externally

It is located very close to all the amenities which Cascais and Estoril has to offer, including the Estoril Casino, three wonderful sandy beaches, train station, which is just 5 minutes walk away.
There is a bicycle path, which begins just a short walk away from the apartment and goes all the way to Guincho from the Cascais Marina. Wonderful fish & seafood restaurants are in abundance here.
Lively square with bars and restaurants which affords visitors the chance to sit outside and enjoy the sunshine or shelter under the shade of an umbrella for a wonderful lunch.
Cascais market is on a Wednesday and Saturday where you can buy anything from clothing, brick-a-brack, & fresh produce to perfumes, handbags, household items.

Coast / Beach

There are 3 or more beaches in the centre of Cascais. Guincho beach is just a 10 or so minute drive along the coastline toward the most westerly point of Europe.
Try some of the wonderful seafood restauants on the way up. Further along you arrive at Colares where you will find wonderful beaches such as Praia Grande, Maças, Adraga etc ... before arriving at Sintra itself.

Golf

We are now in a position to offer special deals to golfers beteween November and March. Please ask us about it.

There are 8 excellent golf courses within a 20 min drive from Cascais.

The golf courses of Oitavos, Quinta da Marinha, Quinta da Beloura, Estoril (27 holes) are nearby all within 10 to 15 minutes drive.

Travel

If you would like to travel further afield, please ask us for our itinerary for private tours.

We can offer you private tours to Sintra, Obidos, Fatima or any of the smaller and very quaint towns in the Alentejo.
